Keep Up With Us

Giving Thanks...

First things first - This time of year is always a good time to reflect.  To look back upon the past year and give thanks for the opportunities given to us, friendships, and the ongoing support of the commercial real estate community.  Here at Duggan, we want to thank YOU for your trust in us, your partnerships, your referrals, your business, and your friendship.

Wishing you all a wonderful, fulfilling, and delicious Thanksgiving holiday!

And now, on to the newsletter!

You Clean Up Nice...

Does your building contain wood furniture that perhaps has seen better days?  How about the wood doors in your corridors and lobby that have been banged into by every mail cart and delivery person known to man?  Don't give up on your wood yet.  Underneath that sad exterior is a block of wood just begging to be sanded down and given a new coat of life.

The above photo shows part of the security desk at a Hollywood Transwestern property.  This desk is quite long and located in the main lobby as the welcoming point for guests.  The wear and tear had left the color faded, various stains covered the surface level that is most visible, and the scratches were discoloring the wood altogether.  Then our Duggan team member came to the rescue with his wood tools and wood stains, and you can see for yourself even in this small sample that after all was said and done, it looks like a brand new piece of furniture.

This photo below is from the historic Bradbury building on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles where Duggan and Associates was entrusted to refinish the wood in this beautiful landmark.  Take care of your wood, and it will last you a lifetime.

There's a new office in town...

...and it's quite beautiful.

Legacy Partners contracted with Duggan and Associates to paint this completely renovated building, inside and out, and we've got plenty of photos to share with you.

150 Orange Grove in Pasadena is set back from the street into its own little cove of privacy.  This four-story building with over 115K square feet of space has a fitness center, barbecue station, fire pit, and a concrete ping pong table.  The trellis on the outdoor amenity deck was looking a bit worn down, but once our Duggan team stripped and sanded it down, the finish looked like new.

As you enter the lobby, there are textured panels to either side, neighboring the clean look of the white, painted walls.

Following are some images from the inside of the building, including the fitness room and available office space.

In addition to the interior and exterior painting, wood refinishing, and the below painting of the parking lot ceiling, Duggan and Associates also removed the failing sealant from the exterior paneling system, and provided backer rod installation with a Sonnoborne NP-1 Urethane sealant to the exterior joints.  We are extremely proud to have had a part in creating the final work of art that this building is.

And one final photo of one of our Duggan and Associates painters on a lift outside of the building recently, getting ready to do some touch-up work after exterior lights were removed from the building.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
